New EvMBA, MEMBA Classes Introduced

Two MBA programs introduced students to the Goizueta community this week.

A new class of Goizueta Evening MBA students completed orientation recently with 85 students set to begin classes.

The Class of 2014 represents seven countries and 66 employers including The Home Depot, SunTrust, AT&T, the U.S. Army, Coca-Cola Refreshments, GE  and Newell Rubbermaid. Undergraduate institutions include Emory, Georgia Tech, Georgia, North Carolina, Stanford and Michigan. The group has an average work experience of six years, is 10 percent international, 17 percent minority and 27 percent women.

Also announced was  the Modular Executive MBA Class of 2013, which arrived on campus Aug. 11 for its first residency.

The 10th cohort of the program includes 35 new students with 36 percent of the class coming from outside the state of Georgia. In all, 12 states and one foreign country (Brazil) are represented.

According to the EMBA program office, 28 percent of students hold graduate degrees. Additionally, 40 percent are women. The class, on average, has 14 years of work experience. Fourteen  languages and dialects are represented. Companies represented include  Siemens, Newell Rubbermaid, GE Energy, Deloitte, CR Bard, Novelis, Cox, SunTrust, Target and the U.S. Air Force.
